Teeth whitening
Over time, teeth lose their brilliance and may turn yellowish. Luckily, it is possible to put the wow back into your smile by whitening your teeth.
What is tooth whitening?
Dental enamel (the first layer of the teeth) is porous and, over time, pores are stained by dark foods, red wine, coffee, tea and the likes, which make teeth yellow. A special whitening gel composed of carbamide or hydrogen peroxide is applied to the teeth. Tooth whitening then happens when the whitening gel is activated by light and slowly penetrates the pores of the dental enamel by oxidation of the colorations and dark stains.
